Santiago de Compostela serves as setting for ARD crime drama

The ARD crime drama ‘Die Tote vom Jakobsweg’ (The Dead Woman of the Camino) is scheduled for a repeat broadcast on Saturday evening. Set in Santiago de Compostela, the capital of Galicia in northwest Spain, the film follows Chief Inspector David Acosta as he takes over leadership of the criminal police force to repair his family relationships.

Upon his arrival, Acosta and his colleagues, Mercedes Navarro and Adrián Martínez, must investigate the murder of a local woman named Sofía. The investigation focuses on a young man named Carmelo, a pilgrim who reportedly charms and robs travelers, leading investigators to question if Sofía caught him in the act.
