Santiago de Cuba hospital opens on-site store for hygiene and essential goods

The Saturnino Lora Torres Clinical Surgical Teaching Provincial Hospital in Santiago de Cuba has opened a new on-site store named ‘Garaje Lesli’. Located within the Specialty Polyclinic area, the shop is intended to serve patients, their families, and hospital staff by providing essential items.

The store offers a variety of hygiene and personal care products, including soap, antiseptic gels, toilet paper, wet wipes, toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and diapers. Beyond hygiene supplies, available merchandise includes clothing, footwear, backpacks, sweets, and beverages.

Operating daily from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., the establishment supports digital payments via QR code bank transfers. While official pricing lists were not released, visible price tags on various items range from 50 to 5,000 Cuban pesos (CUP). The management model of the store has not been publicly specified.
