Santiago de Surco leads Lima in investment budget execution

The Municipality of Santiago de Surco has reached a 62.4% execution rate of its investment budget as of August 10, leading the ranking of the 43 municipalities in Metropolitan Lima. According to data from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the district has utilized S/ 21,628,498 out of its total S/ 34,682,692 investment budget.

This performance places Surco ahead of the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima, which has recorded a 52% advance in the same period. The administration aims to achieve 100% budget execution for the fourth consecutive year, following successful completions in 2023, 2024, and 2025 under Mayor Carlos Bruce.

Key projects driving this progress include the construction of the Ferrero Coliseum, the Municipal School of Arts, the Velasco Astete cycle path, and over one million square meters of road paving. Other ongoing works include the Supermanzana de Surco Pueblo and improvements to the Municipal Cemetery.
