Santiago del Estero celebrates local folk and football traditions

Cultural events in Santiago del Estero are highlighting local traditions through music and sports history. In the Los Lagos neighborhood, Cuti and Roberto Carabajal are promoting a folk music gathering (peña) designed to preserve Santiago folk traditions and pass them to new generations. The event features an open microphone format, traditional gastronomy, and honors the legacy of the Carabajal family.

Simultaneously, the Centro Cultural del Bicentenario (CCB) has inaugurated the exhibition ‘Club, Identidad y Memoria Colectiva’. This free display explores the history and social identity generated by football clubs within Santiago's neighborhoods. The exhibition includes contributions from several local clubs, such as Central Córdoba, Mitre, and Unión Santiago, aiming to provide a space for collective memory regarding the province's sporting heritage.
