Santiago del Estero deputies declare Abuela Carabajal birthday a matter of cultural interest

The Chamber of Deputies of Santiago del Estero has declared the 'Cumpleaños de la Abuela María Luisa Paz de Carabajal' to be of provincial, social, and cultural interest. The celebration is currently taking place in the Los Lagos neighborhood.

Provincial deputy and mayor-elect Álvaro Emiliano ‘Chueco’ Blanco, alongside mayor-elect Llamil Abdala, attended the event to deliver the declaration. Blanco noted that the festivities are a significant expression of Santiago identity and a space for preserving cultural traditions. Abdala highlighted the event's economic impact, noting that local hotel occupancy has reached 100% due to the tourism and commercial movement generated by the celebration.
