Santiago del Estero honors animal activist Eduardo Riemersma with mural
The city of Santiago del Estero has unveiled a new mural to honor Eduardo Groh Riemersma, a well-known animal rights activist affectionately known as ‘Polaco’. Managed by the Capital Municipality, the artwork depicts Riemersma alongside a poodle, capturing a characteristic smile that symbolizes his deep connection to animals.
The tribute serves to preserve his legacy of empathy and solidarity toward animals in need. Beyond the visual memorial, the initiative encourages the community to uphold his values by promoting responsible pet ownership, adoption, and sterilization, while actively rejecting animal abandonment and cruelty.
