Santiago del Estero hosts cardiology conferences to strengthen cardiovascular care

The XX Santiago del Estero Cardiology Conferences, the XXII Heart Failure Weekend, and the I Pulmonary Hypertension Weekend have commenced in Santiago del Estero, Argentina. Organized by the Santiago del Estero Cardiology Society, the Argentine Federation of Cardiology, and the provincial Ministry of Health, the event brings together specialists to update medical knowledge, promote interdisciplinary work, and strengthen cardiovascular prevention and care strategies.

Health Minister Dr. Natividad Nassif emphasized that cardiovascular diseases represent a major sanitary challenge requiring an integral approach. She noted ongoing provincial investments to strengthen the healthcare system across all levels, from primary care to second and third-level hospitals, through improved infrastructure, equipment, and diagnostic technology.

Health Secretary Dr. Gustavo Sabalza highlighted the role of scientific and technological advances, such as interventionism and artificial intelligence, while stressing the importance of maintaining a human-centered perspective in healthcare policies.
