Santiago del Estero officials monitor water levels and visit regional feedlot
The Productive Development Executive Unit (UEDP) of the Secretariat of Production has initiated groundwater monitoring in the Balderrama Basin, specifically within the Monteros and Simoca departments. By reading piezometers, authorities aim to track water table dynamics to provide technical data for future works designed to mitigate flooding in farms, rural roads, and homes.
In a separate development regarding regional productivity, Provincial Production Minister Néstor Machado and national officials visited the ‘El Duende’ feedlot near Fernández in the Robles department. The visit, which included representatives from Senasa and Inta, highlighted the facility as a model for productive chains and a significant driver of local employment and wealth in Santiago del Estero.
