Santiago del Estero Police and UCSE celebrate 10 years of security degree

The Universidad Católica de Santiago del Estero (UCSE) and the Santiago del Estero Provincial Police held a ceremony to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the University Technician degree in Police Security. Established in 2016, the program was a pioneering initiative in Argentina, designed to strengthen the professional academic training of police personnel.

The event was attended by various government and academic officials, including the Minister of Government, Security, and Worship, Bernardo José Herrera; the Secretary of Security, David Marcelo Pato; the Rector of UCSE, Luis Eugenio Lucena; the Chief of Police, Laureano Silva; and the Deputy Chief, Walter Gómez.

The degree, offered through the UCSE Faculty of Political, Social, and Legal Sciences, received national validity in 2017. It served as a foundation for the subsequent Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, which was approved with national validity in 2021.
