Santiago del Estero siblings denounce grandmother for years of abuse

Five siblings in Santiago del Estero, Argentina, have denounced their grandmother, a pastor, for years of physical abuse and psychological torment. The victims reported being subjected to extreme violence, including being beaten with sticks and being locked in darkness behind metal gates without access to water or bathrooms.

The situation escalated when one sibling sought help at the 5th Police Station after fleeing a relative. According to the siblings, the grandmother and an aunt arrived at the station and continued the violence. The victims also alleged that police officers failed to intervene, instead pushing the children back into the station while they were being assaulted.

One sibling revealed that the family had long used psychological manipulation, telling the children that their mother’s death was their fault. Through psychological support, the victims have begun to process this trauma.
