Santiago del Estero: Three-year-old girl injured in pitbull attack

A three-year-old girl was seriously injured after being attacked by a pitbull in the Obrero neighborhood of Añatuya, within the General Taboada department of Santiago del Estero. The incident occurred on a Friday night when the dog, reportedly belonging to a neighbor, entered the family's patio and bit the child in the head.

The victim was urgently transported to the Centro Provincial de Salud Infantil (CEPSI) in the provincial capital due to the severity of her cranial injuries. Medical professionals indicated that the child faced the risk of losing an eye and had been scheduled for surgery to treat the wounds.
