Santiago Fiocchi dies in fatal vehicle rollover on Route 3

Santiago Felipe Fiocchi, a 38-year-old businessman, died following a high-speed vehicle rollover on National Route 3 near Estancia San Luis, south of Río Grande, Argentina.

Fiocchi was driving a Toyota 86 GR southbound when the vehicle lost control on a straight stretch of road. The car veered off the asphalt and tumbled approximately 100 meters through an open field before coming to rest on its side. Despite wearing a seatbelt, Fiocchi was found dead at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident. While the road conditions were reported as optimal, the high speed of the vehicle was indicated by the distance traveled during the rollover. Local police and civil defense personnel attended the scene to conduct accidentological forensics.

Fiocchi was the owner of a John Deere and heavy machinery company in Río Grande, a business he managed following the death of his father, Pablo Fiocchi, who also died in a traffic accident on Route 3 in 2019.
