Santiago Gimenez scores in Mexico's win, Milan eyes his sale

Mexico defeated the Czech Republic 3-0 at the Azteca stadium, finishing Group A of the 2026 World Cup with a perfect record. Santiago Gimenez entered as a substitute in the 63rd minute and contributed to the victory as Mexico clinched the top spot.

Meanwhile, AC Milan are preparing to sell the Mexican striker. Signed in February 2025 for a €30.2 million fee plus bonuses, Gimenez has struggled with injuries and scored only seven goals in 37 appearances, none in Serie A this season. Porto have reportedly offered around €35 million, but Milan are seeking at least €20 million for the player.
