Santiago Giménez transfer negotiations resume between AC Milan and Porto

Negotiations have resumed between AC Milan and FC Porto regarding the transfer of Mexican striker Santiago Giménez. After Milan initially rejected a proposal for a loan with a 15 million euro purchase option, Porto has returned to the negotiating table to find a mutually acceptable formula.

AC Milan has maintained a firm stance, requesting either a permanent sale or a loan with an obligation to buy, with a minimum valuation set at 20 million euros to recoup part of their initial investment. Giménez, who joined Milan in February 2025 for 32 million euros plus bonuses, has reportedly begun a personalized training program separate from his teammates as a precaution ahead of the move.

The striker's tenure in Italy has been marked by fluctuations in form and a significant ankle injury in October 2025 that required surgery. He has recorded 7 goals in 37 appearances for the Rossoneri.
