Santiago Grassi breaks swimming records at South American Games

Argentine swimmer Santiago Grassi set new Argentine and South American records in the 50-meter butterfly during the South American Games in Santa Fe. Grassi recorded a time of 23.44 seconds in the qualifying heats at the Provincial Aquatic Center of Rosario.

Grassi, an Olympic veteran from Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020, returned to international competition representing Argentina at these games. He will compete in the final to vie for a medal alongside fellow Argentine Ulises Cazau.
