Santiago Matías collects signatures for Dominicanos Primero political project

Santiago Matías, the entrepreneur and communicator known as Alofoke, is conducting a signature collection campaign in the Dominican Republic to formalize his political project, Dominicanos Primero. During recent activities in the municipalities of Santa Cruz de El Seibo and Miches, Matías and his team engaged with citizens to gather support, aiming to reach one million signatures to seek official recognition of the organization for the 2028 elections.

The political move has drawn criticism from actor and comedian Fausto Mata. In an interview with Z101, Mata questioned the motivations of those supporting the initiative, labeling supporters as “stupid” and suggesting they follow directives without understanding the underlying causes. He criticized the movement as being composed of individuals acting like “clones” or “animatronics” who lack deep analysis of the project's implications.
