The situation gained international attention after being reported by The New York Times. Oría had reportedly engaged with Instagram videos of the influencer, praising both her political arguments and her appearance, before discovering the persona was entirely AI-generated. Digital commentators and streamers, including Tomás Rebord and Pedro Rosemblat, have ridiculed the incident, with some pointing out the irony of a communications strategist falling for a non-existent entity.

In response to the backlash, Oría posted a provocative message on X (formerly Twitter) targeting President Milei and his sister, Karina Milei, in an attempt to shift the focus away from the controversy. He characterized the media criticism as an attack by dishonest journalists, attempting to align his defense with the administration's typical rhetoric against the press.
