Santiago Peña inspects Taiwan-Paraguay University and Luque viaduct

Paraguayan President Santiago Peña, accompanied by Minister of Public Works Claudia Centurión, inspected the construction progress of the future Taiwan-Paraguay Polytechnic University and the elevated highway in Luque, Central Department.

Peña noted that the university project originated over a decade ago during the administration of Horacio Cartes, aimed at allowing Paraguayan students to train with teachers from Taiwan. He emphasized that the new campus will serve as a symbol of the strengthened alliance between Paraguay and the Republic of China (Taiwan) and act as a hub for developing high-level human capital and technological development.

The university works are expected to be completed by July 2027, with supervision provided by Cialpa SA and CECI Engineering Consultants Inc.
