Santiago – Un cammino per ricominciare film arrives in Italy

The film ‘Santiago – Un cammino per ricominciare’, directed by Yann Samuell, is arriving in Italian cinemas following its success in France. Based on the novel ‘Marche et invente ta vie’ by Bernard Ollivier, the movie follows the journey of Adam, a troubled teenager, and Fred, a teacher facing personal difficulties, as they walk the Camino de Santiago.

The story is inspired by the work of organizations like the French association Seuil and the Italian association ‘Lunghi Cammini’. These groups utilize long-distance walking as an educational tool for vulnerable youth, offering alternatives to detention through journeys lasting between 30 and 100 days. These treks are designed to foster resilience and self-confidence by removing digital distractions and providing structured support.
