Santiago Ávila releases new book Tontocracia

Santiago Ávila, a consultant and former executive with over 35 years of experience, has released a new book titled ‘Tontocracia’ through the publisher Vergara.

Ávila, who has held leadership roles at companies such as Eulen, Securitas, and Grupo Falcon, describes the work as an anthropological study of human behavior rather than a collection of personal insults. He emphasizes the importance of critical thinking, suggesting that a societal renunciation of thought has led to ‘buenismo’.

In discussing his approach to management and social media influence, Ávila states that he avoids acting as a management guru, preferring instead to use the Socratic method to provoke reflection in others.
