Santiago women's half marathon to cause traffic closures

The second edition of the Itaú Medio Maratón de Santiago, an exclusive women's running event, will take place on Sunday, August 30. The competition features more than 6,000 participants competing in 7K and 21K distances, with the starting and finishing points located at Parque Estadio Nacional.

Due to the event, significant traffic restrictions and road closures will be implemented in the Ñuñoa and Macul communes. Carabineros de Chile will manage temporary closures, primarily between 06:30 and 14:00. Major affected areas include Av. Grecia, Av. Macul, Ramón Cruz, Av. Irarrázaval, Av. Sucre, and Av. Salvador. Roads will be reopened progressively as runners pass through each sector.
