Santo Antônio da Patrulha: Pregnant cow slaughtered and meat stolen

A pregnant Braford cow was slaughtered and its meat stolen from a rural property in Santo Antônio da Patrulha. The incident was discovered on a Saturday morning when the owner found only parts of the animal, including the head, tail, legs, viscera, and the uterus containing a calf, left in the field.

Authorities suspect the perpetrators used a vehicle, possibly a blue pickup truck such as a Ford Ranger or Ram, to carry out the theft. The property's gate remained locked without signs of forced entry. The case has been registered as abigeato, a legal term for the theft of livestock, and is under investigation by the Brigada Militar.
