The customer service area of the Santo Domingo Este Electoral Board is showing significant signs of neglect and physical deterioration. For several months, the facility has exhibited visible damage, including walls in need of maintenance, worn seating, and a hole in the floor located in the citizen waiting area.

Despite the center processing a high volume of daily transactions—such as birth, marriage, divorce, and death certificates, as well as ID duplications—the facility remains unrepaired. These services generate substantial revenue for the institution through fees established by the Central Electoral Board, raising questions regarding why basic maintenance and minor repairs have not been addressed.
