Santo Domingo Este water service to remain normal after rescheduled electrical works

The Corporación del Acueducto y Alcantarillado de Santo Domingo (CAASD) has announced that water services in more than 25 sectors of Santo Domingo Este will function normally, following the rescheduling of planned electrical works.

Originally, the Empresa de Transmisión Eléctrica Dominicana (ETED) had scheduled maintenance on a 69,000-volt transmission line connecting Boca Chica with San Pedro de Macorís. This work was expected to cause a temporary shutdown of the La Joya and Los Marenos well fields on Monday, September 14, and Wednesday, September 16.

Due to the rescheduling of these electrical works, the previously announced water service interruptions for the affected sectors will not occur as planned. CAASD has advised citizens to monitor official channels for updates regarding any future maintenance schedules.
