Residents in various sectors of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, are reporting severe disruptions due to persistent noise pollution. In Bayona, Santo Domingo Oeste, citizens describe being unable to sleep due to loud music, vehicle horns, and shouting from nearby establishments late into the night.

Similar issues are reported in Santo Domingo Este along the San Isidro Highway, where residents face constant noise from local businesses and vehicles. Beyond sleep deprivation, the situation has escalated into community tension, with some families reporting verbal abuse, harassment, and physical aggression, such as stones and bottles being thrown at their homes.
