Santo Stefano al Mare hosts XXVI Memorial Argo for rescue dogs

The XXVI Memorial Argo is being held in Piazza Baden Powell in Santo Stefano al Mare. The event honors Argo, the first surface search dog for the Civil Protection of Taggia and the Province of Imperia, who became a symbol of dedication and the bond between humans and animals in rescue operations.

Organized by the Centro Cinofilo ‘Gli Amici dell’Orma’ in collaboration with the Taggia Civil Protection, ENPA Zoophile Guards, and local veterinarians, the evening focuses on solidarity and rescue. During the ceremony, animals recognized for meritorious service in search and rescue efforts will be awarded. A jury of children will select the winner based on values of kindness, commitment, and solidarity. The event also serves as an information session regarding animal welfare and legislative updates.
