Santo Vruna presents debut novel 'Il secolo sbagliato' in Arenzano, Italy

Albanian‑born writer and luthier Santo Vruna returned to the Ligurian town of Arenzano for a book launch at Libreria Sabinalo. His first novel, "Il secolo sbagliato" (Brè), has sold out at every presentation, prompting the author to note, “Anche alle persone normali accadono cose speciali.”

Born in Santa Caterina di Villarmosa and raised in Albenga, Vruna works in a violin‑making workshop and has been praised by music journals as an “artist and builder of emotions.” The novel weaves together three main themes – the magical world of luthiery, a love story, and the tumult of the 20th‑century wars – blending grand history with micro‑history. All copies displayed at the event were purchased, underscoring strong local interest in his literary debut.
