Santos Becerra maintains traditional rural lifestyle in Córdoba
Santos Becerra, a 67-year-old resident of the San Javier department in Córdoba, Argentina, lives a life centered on manual labor and connection to the natural environment in the Traslasierra region. Having grown up in the area, Becerra maintains traditional trades, including the production of adobe bricks, a skill he began learning as a laborer at age 13.
Becerra emphasizes the importance of food autonomy and self-sufficiency through his own vegetable garden. He advocates for utilizing the land to produce healthy food, noting that personal cultivation allows for greater control over the quality and origin of what is consumed compared to purchasing meat and produce from commercial sources.
