Santos City Council returns R$ 6 million to City Hall

The Santos City Council has returned R$ 6 million to the City Hall, following the return of unused legislative budget funds. This transfer is part of a larger projected return of R$ 31.5 million by the end of 2026.

Mayor Rogério Santos stated that the return demonstrates efficient public management and a positive institutional relationship between the executive and legislative branches. The funds are intended for municipal programs and actions within the city.

City Council President Adilson Júnior confirmed that these resources, which were not utilized by the legislature, will be redirected to the municipality. The city's total budget for the period includes significant allocations for health, education, and social development.
