Santos experiences port closures due to fog and local traffic diversions

Heavy fog caused a suspension of maritime operations at the Port of Santos in São Paulo on Saturday morning. The access channel was closed from 3:20 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. due to low visibility, halting the entry and exit of ships. The interruption also affected five ferry crossings in the Baixada Santista region, including routes between Santos and Guarujá.

In the city of Santos, several scheduled community events on Saturday are causing local traffic disruptions. These include a spring cycling tour, a walk for National Deaf Person's Day, an organ donation awareness walk, a regional traditions festival, and a religious procession. The local traffic engineering company, CET-Santos, is managing road closures and implementing alternative routes for municipal bus lines to accommodate these activities.
