Santos FC extends Gonzalo Escobar contract to 2027

Santos Futebol Clube announced on 31 May that left‑back Gonzalo Escobar has signed a new contract running until 31 December 2027, extending the deal that was set to expire at the end of the current season. The Argentine defender arrived on loan from Fortaleza in 2024, quickly became a starter and has amassed 107 appearances for the club, scoring one goal and providing four assists.

Escobar said he is proud to represent Santos and pledged continued dedication while wearing the historic shirt. The club shared the news on its official channels and highlighted the upcoming Copa do Brasil round‑of‑16 match against Remo at Vila Belmiro.
