Santos FC faces R$ 20 million loss as major sponsors depart

Santos FC is facing a significant financial setback following the departure of several kit sponsors, resulting in an estimated loss of R$ 20 million for the second half of the year. Commercial revenue from uniform sponsorships has dropped from R$ 60 million to R$ 40 million.

Among the departing brands are Nissei, which earned the club R$ 3.5 million annually, and Pley by Ney, a beverage brand managed by Neymar's father that contributed R$ 3 million last year. Additionally, the fintech CorpX terminated its contract abruptly. CorpX's departure follows regulatory scrutiny from the Central Bank of Brazil amid investigations into financial irregularities and money laundering involving various fintechs.

The club's management is currently seeking new commercial partners to fill these vacancies, aiming to secure updated and potentially higher values to stabilize the budget and address existing financial obligations.
