Santos FC prepares for Cruzeiro match and pursues transfer targets

Santos FC is actively managing its squad ahead of upcoming fixtures. Newly signed attacker Everton Cebolinha has participated in training and may make his debut in the next Campeonato Brasileiro match against Cruzeiro, pending registration. Coach Cuca noted that while the player is not at ideal fitness, he is ready to be utilized.

In the transfer market, Santos is seeking to strengthen its left-back position. The club is pursuing Rubens from Dynamo Moscow, though negotiations remain difficult due to the Russian club's valuation of 9 million euros. Alternatively, the club is monitoring Raphael Guerreiro, who is currently a free agent.

On the opponent side, Cruzeiro will face Santos without defender Jonathan Jesus, who is sidelined with a thigh injury. Other absences for Cruzeiro include Gabriel Pec and Luis Sinisterra.
