Santos implements collaborative monitoring for urban security

The city of Santos has launched a collaborative monitoring initiative aimed at enhancing urban security through community participation. Led by Grupo V3 Connect, the project began in the Campo Grande neighborhood with plans to expand coverage to all streets in the municipality.

The system integrates cameras from residences, businesses, and buildings into the Muralha Paulista, a state-level system for public road equipment registration. This initiative seeks to supplement state patrolling by creating a robust network of observation. Key features of the project include three-day video storage, cross-access for subscribers to view integrated cameras in their region, and a panic button feature within a dedicated mobile application.
