Santos launches professional training programs in gastronomy and environmental monitoring

The city of Santos is implementing various professional training programs to foster local development and income generation.

The Casa da Mulher is offering a free savory pie manufacturing course for women residents over 18. This initiative, part of a larger package of 600 free training slots, is organized in partnership with Sebrae Aqui Mulher, Senai, and the Santos City Hall. The course aims to provide skills for entrepreneurship and catering services.

Additionally, a new Environmental Monitor course has launched to train 45 participants for roles in parks, trails, and natural areas. The 40-hour program covers environmental education, biodiversity, sustainable tourism, and first aid. Due to high demand, with over 400 interested applicants, authorities plan to open new classes in 2027.
