Santos police hunt fugitive suspect in fatal stabbing

A suspect, 49-year-old Ronaldo Miguel Ramos, is currently a fugitive after a court ordered his temporary 30-day arrest following a fatal stabbing in Santos, São Paulo.

The victim, 51-year-old Alexander Silva dos Santos, was attacked on Friday night while walking his dog in the BNH Aparecida housing complex on Rua Jurubatuba. Witnesses reported that the suspect approached the victim, exchanged words, and then stabbed him in the abdomen. Although the victim was rushed to the Santa Casa de Santos by emergency services, he succumbed to his injuries.

Police investigations suggest the motive may be revenge, as witnesses indicated the suspect knew the victim and had made prior threats. Authorities attempted to serve the warrant at a residence linked to the suspect's family, but he was not found. The Civil Police are continuing efforts to locate Ramos.
