Brazilian police recover hundreds of stolen mobile phones

Law enforcement agencies in Brazil have conducted several operations resulting in the recovery of stolen mobile devices. In Santos, the SP Mobile Program facilitated the return of stolen phones to victims. This initiative involved the inspection of over 90 establishments specializing in mobile phone trade and maintenance, leading to the seizure of approximately 10,000 devices, including those dismantled for parts. One merchant in Cubatão was arrested for receiving stolen goods.

In Curitiba, the Municipal Guard recovered more than 100 stolen phones, including 80 iPhones, during the 17th phase of the 'Ação Integrada Cabo Seguro' operation. The devices were found at a local establishment in the Parolin neighborhood. The person responsible for the shop was arrested for receiving stolen property, and authorities are investigating the origin of the devices using IMEI numbers.

Additionally, in Santos, municipal guards apprehended a man following a theft in the Gonzaga district. The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was intercepted by security teams, leading to the recovery of the stolen smartphone and other items.
