SANY Group ships first autonomous electric mining trucks to South America

SANY Group has shipped its first batch of SKT110Ei pure-electric autonomous mining trucks to South America. This marks the company’s first autonomous mining truck project and autonomous mining solution deployment in the Latin American region.

The project features an integrated solution consisting of an autonomous truck fleet, an intelligent cloud-based dispatching system, roadside infrastructure, and localized lifecycle operations and maintenance services. The SKT110Ei trucks utilize an in-house developed autonomous driving system designed to improve safety, increase productivity, and reduce operating costs by minimizing the need for manual operation.

At a recent mining summit, the company also showcased a cabless pure-electric mining truck equipped with a liquid-cooled dual-gun charging system. This vehicle supports ultra-fast charging and offers three operating modes: on-site takeover, remote takeover, and fully autonomous driving.
