Sanying Line begins full-time trial operations amid increased police patrols

The Sanying Line has commenced full-time trial operations, extending service hours from 06:00 to 24:00 daily. Following a recent incident where a man brandished a utility knife on a train traveling from Taipei University Station toward Dingpu, New Taipei City police have increased patrol density at stations, entrances, and key nodes to ensure passenger safety.

In a separate incident on the Taipei Metro Tamsui Line, a 15-year-old boy was apprehended at Mingde Station after passengers reported him playing with a plastic folding knife. The Beitou Police Precinct handled the matter, and the youth was referred to the Shilin District Court for violating the Social Order Maintenance Act.
