Sanyo Throne Challenge Cup GII auto race begins September 2

The 7th Sanyo Throne Challenge Cup, a GII Kobayashi Keiji Cup auto race event, is scheduled to take place over five days from September 2 to September 6. The competition features high-level S-class racers competing in night races.

Keiichiro Suzuki, the two-time defending champion, is a primary contender seeking his third consecutive victory. He enters the race following strong performances in recent SG and GI events. His main rival is Shuhei Aoyama, who is participating in this event for the first time in seven years after a recent victory at the Isezaki SG Auto Race Grand Prix.

Local S-class racers from Sanyo, including Sho Yamamoto and Aya Matsuo, are also participating. Additionally, racer Satoshi Maruyama has announced mechanical upgrades, including a new crank, to improve machine performance following recent struggles in GI and SG competitions.
