Sao Mai 2026 prepares for third liveshow themed Love Songs

The Sao Mai 2026 singing competition is progressing with its third liveshow, themed ‘Tình ca’ (Love Songs). The upcoming performances feature a variety of musical styles, ranging from traditional influences to modern electronic arrangements.

In recent developments, contestant Nam Thành performed ‘Biển tình’ by Lam Phương. While judges Thùy Trang and Quách Thành Danh expressed interest in his modern vocal style and arrangement, veteran singer Thái Châu advised him to study the song more deeply to create stronger highlights and avoid a monotonous delivery.

Other contestants are also preparing diverse sets for the liveshow. Đoàn Linh plans to combine folk music with EDM, incorporating traditional instruments like the đàn đáy and ca trù elements into the song ‘Có nợ không duyên’. Hải Đăng will perform a Latin-style arrangement of ‘Mặt trời của em’, while Xuân Dũng will focus on family themes with the song ‘Lời nói dối của cha’.
