SAP Concur and Amex GBT announce AI-driven travel innovations

SAP Concur and American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) have announced new advancements for ‘Complete by SAP Concur and Amex GBT’, an AI-enabled solution designed for travel booking, servicing, payments, and expensing.

The updates aim to integrate Amex GBT’s marketplace and servicing with Concur’s travel and expense tools to create a more seamless experience. Key features include an enterprise-integrated chat platform currently in pilot, which allows for automated handoffs to live travel counsellors. Additionally, the integration of SAP’s agentic AI, Joule, is intended to help business travellers resolve frequent inquiries more efficiently by utilizing Amex GBT’s supplier marketplace data.
