SAP reports record €10 billion quarterly revenue driven by cloud growth

SAP has achieved a historic milestone, surpassing €10 billion in quarterly revenue for the first time. The company reported a 13% year-on-year increase in total revenue, reaching €10.27 billion, and a 26% rise in cloud revenue to €6.67 billion.

Key financial indicators exceeded market expectations, including a non-IFRS operating profit of €3.03 billion, an 18% increase from the previous year. The current cloud backlog grew by 26% at constant currencies to €24.14 billion, serving as a critical indicator for future performance.

Following these results, SAP raised its 2026 cloud revenue outlook to the upper end of its previous guidance, targeting a range of €25.8 billion to €26.2 billion. While the company highlighted the success of its 'Autonomous Enterprise' strategy and AI integration through its Joule platform, management expressed caution regarding macroeconomic uncertainties and potential headwinds in the fourth quarter.
