SAP to acquire Belgian AI workforce startup TechWolf
SAP has agreed to acquire TechWolf, a Belgian startup that utilizes artificial intelligence to map employee skills and daily tasks. The acquisition, the terms of which were not disclosed, is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, pending regulatory approval.
TechWolf’s technology creates a continuous model of a company’s workforce by analyzing existing HR and business systems. This model tracks specific job tasks, employee skills, and external labor market trends to assist companies with hiring, retraining, and staff relocation decisions. TechWolf currently serves clients such as HSBC, GSK, Ericsson, AMD, PayPal, and Booking.com.
SAP intends to integrate TechWolf’s technology into its SuccessFactors HR software and its AI assistant, Joule. While part of SAP, TechWolf will operate as an independent unit based in Ghent, maintaining offices in London, New York, and San Francisco. The platform will also remain available to organizations that do not use SAP software.
