SAP to acquire TechWolf to enhance SuccessFactors AI capabilities
SAP has announced an agreement to acquire TechWolf, a Belgian AI work intelligence company, to enhance its SuccessFactors platform. The acquisition, expected to close in Q4 2026, aims to integrate TechWolf’s proprietary context graph, AI models, and research team into SAP’s ecosystem. This move is designed to support SAP’s ‘Autonomous HCM’ strategy, transitioning AI from single-task functions to connected Joule agents capable of managing end-to-end HR processes such as hiring, payroll, and training.
Following the acquisition, SAP intends to maintain TechWolf as an independent entity led by CEO Andreas De Neve. The integration will focus on providing work intelligence for skills mapping, workforce planning, and organizational redesign. SAP also identified IBM, John Deere, Swiss Re, and Wipro as companies that will implement connected SuccessFactors agents at scale within the next eight months.
As SAP moves toward agent-driven execution, the company is also addressing the need for evolved quality engineering. Testing must now expand beyond simple transaction validation to ensure that AI-generated recommendations and agent actions are accurate, authorized, and grounded in trusted data.
