Sapporo City to launch new childcare app using Boshimo platform

Sapporo City will launch the ‘Sapporo Childcare App’ on October 26, utilizing the ‘Boshimo’ maternal and child health handbook application. This initiative replaces a previous app used since 2017 to better meet the diversifying needs of parenting households.

The new application provides various digital tools, including vaccination schedules, health checkup management, and growth tracking for infants. It allows users to record pregnancy health, weight, and developmental milestones such as sitting up or walking. Data is stored in the cloud, serving as a backup in case of physical handbook loss and allowing for easy data transfer during relocation.

Additional features include information on local subsidies, medical expense assistance, and childcare facilities. The app also supports data sharing with family members and provides push notifications for emergency information.
