Sapporo Game Camp 2026 to feature new high school sessions
The Sapporo Game Camp Executive Committee has announced that Sapporo Game Camp 2026 will be held from October 9 to 11 at Sapporo Factory. Now in its fifth year, the event aims to foster game creators in Sapporo and promote digital entertainment.
New additions for this year include sessions specifically designed for high school students to learn about career paths and roles in game development, as well as booths for CG schools and companies. The main program, a Game Jam, will allow participants aged 18 and older to work with professional creators to produce an original game over two days.
Other scheduled activities include a programming workshop using Sega’s Puyo Puyo, a 3DCG course using the tool Womp, and a series of 13 talk sessions featuring professional developers. Daichi Matsukawa, an executive officer at Applibot, is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech regarding game creation in the age of AI.
