Sapporo to host business networking event for AI and semiconductor firms

UTARIII will host the ninth EZOEDO business networking event in Sapporo on November 4, 2026. The event aims to connect Tokyo-based executives with Hokkaido-based leaders to foster regional growth and business collaboration.

The gathering follows a site inspection tour organized by Sapporo and Ishikari cities, targeting companies in the AI, semiconductor, and data center sectors. This initiative is driven by the accelerating industrial cluster in Hokkaido, spurred by the establishment of next-generation semiconductor manufacturing plants and the designation of the region as a GX/AI finance and asset management special zone.

The event will feature a main session by Yoshiyasu Kondo, CEO of Legaseed, focusing on organizational design for high-profit and high-engagement companies. Additionally, local executives from FPL Securities and Pharm Consulting will participate in a talk session regarding the strengths and challenges of operating businesses in Hokkaido.
