Saquarema announces R$ 100 million for Jaconé infrastructure

The Saquarema municipal government has announced a R$ 100 million investment package dedicated to infrastructure and paving works in the Jaconé neighborhood. The project aims to address long-standing water drainage challenges through specialized engineering, combined with asphalt paving and contingency measures to mitigate construction impacts on local residents.

The initial phase of the project is expected to deliver approximately 23 kilometers of paved roads in Jaconé. Additionally, nearly 25 kilometers of paving works are already underway in other areas, including Jardim Ipitangas, Canto do Rio, Leigos/Cross, and Itaúna. The municipality reports that 180 kilometers of streets have been improved across the city, with the current expansion projected for completion by the end of 2026.

Infrastructure Secretary Cledson Sampaio noted that the project requires more than simple paving due to the unique geographic characteristics of Jaconé, necessitating efficient drainage solutions. Mayor Lucimar Vidal stated that the improvements are intended to ensure mobility, safety, and dignity for the population.
