Saquarema City Hall pursues actor José Loreto over unpaid property taxes

The City Hall of Saquarema has initiated legal action to recover unpaid property tax (IPTU) from actor José Loreto. The debt pertains to a commercial room located on Rua Alfredo Menezes in Bacaxá, which was used for theatrical production purposes.

The outstanding debt, which includes interest and covers the years 2020, 2021, and 2022, totals approximately R$ 650. Local authorities have reported difficulties in locating the actor to serve the collection notice because the commercial space is currently closed and inactive. Consequently, the municipality has filed a lawsuit in the Saquarema Forum to formally cite the debtor, a process that could lead to the seizure or attachment of assets to settle the debt.
